After the fight in the Arena, the party member took a much needed rest and quickly all feel asleep. Each and everyone of them were visited by nightmarish dreams. They all woke up in terror, scared for their life, to the laughter of Farun reverberating in the maze. The Minotaur was furious, the mage did not like the situation, the ranger scream his thought out loud, the Whirling went back to sleep and the demon could not care less. Throughout this, the born again Rakshasa slept deeply.
Throughout his slept, the Rakshasa woke up and introduced himself as Rashik. They party discovered that he is from Kum Burimm. Being extremely weak, the party had to carry him around. They went thru a series of pool area, taking extreme care in crossing them. Between the magic of Solarion, the piton of Daramuck, the Strength of Thundar and the agility of Seeker, the party crossed the three pool with no problem. On the other side, they found a long and large corridor with four doors on the left end side with a very large double door at the end. But before the hall, there was a resting area with food and beds. Farun voice was heard, congratulating them on their achievement so far (which was to cross the pool!!)
Disagreement erupted and Daramuck left the room while the other argued about the next move. With his normal impatience, Seeker went to the second door in the hall and entered the shimmering wall. The rest of the party waited outside. |Inside, Seeker saw a waterfall and quickly figured out that he could not exit the room, so he investigated it. As soon as he got close to the water, a water elemental sprung out and start attacking. In a huge show of dexterity, Seeker avoided almost all blow, but still took many bad wound. Eventually the party thru a rope thru the shimmering wall and Seeker pulled on it. This was the only information the party needed and all member entered the room. The water elemental was quickly dismissed and the party could only see the damage it did to Seeker. Bleeding from just about everywhere, Seeker was tired. Ano’Dil picked up a chest on the ground and they open it to discover a pair of clearly magical leather glove. Solarion and Thundar heal the demon while cursing him for his stupidness.
The demon then enter the third room, with the party behind him. In this room, two chest were visible and the thief went in and sprung just about every trap in the room, but got the treasure anyway.
The fourth room was full of dust with a sarcophagus on the other side of the room. The party took great time to deliberate how to handle this and finally douse the mummy inside the sarcophagus with oil, only to discover that it was a decoy and a mummy appeared behind them. The fight went on for a little and both Solarion and Daramuck were hit by the mummy. A great disease quickly spread thru their veins. Ano’Dil tried over ad over again to light the mummy on fire, but it was not his fight. He eventually walked to it and lit it with a torch. Then Thundar hold the mummy with a powerful spell, then call upon his deity to light the mummy with an amazing source of light. This almost took care of it, but not quite, Solarion, using a fist of stone, smashed the mummy to pieces. An elvish bow and loads of silver were retrieved from the sarcophagus.
The party rested and finally entered the first room, to discover a nicely furnished room with couches ad a large fireplace. Quickly and out of nowhere, Solarion walked directly to the fire, almost dancing as he was doing it. A fire elemental came out and start attacking him. Protected with his amulet, Solarion start talking to the elemental who had none of it and was trying to kill him. Eventually, Solarion got tired of the game and start attacking the elemental with his staff. It took over 30 minutes with many missed, but Solarion eventually got rid of the fire. He then pick up a ring that was in the fireplace.
After existing this room, the party noticed the large door were now opened. The corridor beyond it was in darkness, their night vision could not penetrate this darkness. Ano’Dil and Solarion quickly took out their light stone and enter the corridor. They came upon an area where the floor was sloping down. Ano’Dil went down it and his feet slipped and he slide down the shaft and was welcome at the bottom by a spike trap, he almost got impaled by the spike, but was able to walk out of the trap bleeding profusely. Using the bed from the room above, the rest of the party slide down with no problem.
The party then went from room to room, solving riddles and fighting until they came upon a staircase, the party had cleared the first floor. Farun would be happy!
They walked to the second floor and start exploring. They were greeted with a devilish trap where the thief sprung a trap on his friend without being hurt himself. They then walk to an area where one undead, a mage and a fighter cam to greet them while they were caught between them. Once again, the party got the upper hand. Seeker investigated two more room, but only, once again, sprung some trap.
