The Legend of the Varish Brothers and of FireBrand
Long ago, twin Paladins of House Varish, fought to rid the world of evil, one noble and pure, the other, slowly fell from grace. An ancient seer predicted to the two, that evil will be cleansed with fire, and so the two brothers parted ways with idea permeating. The Noble of the two sought out a powerful artifact; Firebrand (a holy avenger with sun sword properties). The other brother came across an ancient tome. Within, was a ritual to seal away a colossal fire elemental, a being made from the anger of Marasoine, the Goddess of Fire. The being was trapped within a prison inside the tallest mountain in the world, also making the mountain a dormant volcano. The fallen brother planned to unleash the gods anger on the world. At the summit of the tallest mountain as the fallen brother planned to undo the prison, the two fought. Doing battle for three straight days and nights, the twins fought to a stalemate. At the same time, and with both of their dying breaths, they called fourth for divine help from their respected God. A flash of a pillar of fire struck the two creating a riff at the summit plunging the Fallen brother inside the same prison as the fire elemental. As the noble brother turned to make the decent, he died of exhaustion leaving Firebrand behind as his grave marker. At the summit there still stands Firebrand, a Flaming beacon of righteous just outside the portal to the prison where the fallen brother still roams working to unseal the bindings on the colossal fire elemental.
